“Granby Mining” Day 2

Day 2: March 28, 2007 Work continued at the Granby Mining Museum's mural yesterday. All the scaffolding is now in place, and drawing began on Dan McWilliams' design. First, the drawing is done in pencil so it can be easily modified, if needed. Then it is traced over in black paint to make it more visible and more permanent. The grid still needs to be chalked in the west third of the mural. This was postponed until Monday (4/2/07) to allow for the completion of that area of scaffolding yesterday. (See attached photos.) The drawing stage is now close to half complete, thanks to the energy and enthusiasm of these Crowder College art students: Brittany Bailey Kat Burks (Project Historian) Whitney Farrar Chelsy Irvin Tyler Hargrove Cindy Jennings Jessica McBride Also: Barry Flint, Project Coordinator for the Granby Economic Development Committee R.
