“Granby Mining” Day 6

Day 6: April 11, 2007 Crowder Artists Press Forward on Granby Mural! A small crew of 3 Crowder art students braved the chilly weather to work on the Granby Mining Museum's mural yesterday. While not as much was accomplished as on other days, the painters pressed forward fearlessly. Roger from the Joplin Globe and Dick Keezer from IPB Video Productions came to cover the mural story. Muralist Anthony Benton Gude (Thomas Hart Benton's grandson) made an appearance at the Granby Mining mural site on Friday, April 13 at 3:30 PM. He came to meet the mural painters as well as other interested observers to discuss painting and murals. Weather permitting, we will continue working on the mural on Monday and Wednesday afternoons from about 1:30 - 4:30. Feel free to pay us a visit anytime!
